Bleh! I am so tired and I don’t wanna be. I just got back from a 2 day photo trip. It was fun and I took some nice shots but boy am I beat. I am so ready for a vacation or a break but it will be awhile before that happens. I need to start reading up on Dreamweaver so I can get to work on some other websites. Before the end of the summer I would like to get a site set up for my art portfolio, another site set up for a business portfolio, and then I want to do something with my sailor moon/social forum moonicentral.com before it disappears completely. -so much to do-

Design School

I have been so exhausted this week, or perhaps fatigued is the better word. Regardless of which it is I am sick of it. I was telling a friend earlier today that I would rather have my butt kicked and have energy that be zombified. On the up side, I was surprized with a kitten this week. Her name is Adama and she is super cute and into everything. We’re still trying to potty train her, hopefully she’ll catch on to the litter box soon. Classes are beating me up a bit. Tomorrow I’m going out of town for a couple of days for my photo in the field class. We’re camping overnight to play around with night photography. -very cool-

In dolling news I joined this neat social thing at The Manor Clubhouse. It reminds me of facebook ever so slightly and is really cool because members can make their own groups and such. Which is what my latest pixelation is for. I’m playing around with a group called Design School where I’m gonna try and set up little lessons covering art fundamentals and other things that are directly and indirectly related to improving your dolling skills.
Anyways here is my latest pixel piece made from scratch. The right shoulder and arm are a bit off but I think I will still eventually get around to posting this base for everyone.

Queen

Not quite a doll, not quite pixel art. I guess you would call this a little pixel painting. I did this in photoshop using only the drippy wet brush and the eraser. Took less than an hour-good enough for me. I guess we could say this could be queen mist as I started off basing it on myself though it doesn’t look much like me. Lets just pretend its one of my ancestors or something.

Alright so I’m trying something completely different for the new reincarnation of my dolling site. This here is a wordpress blog and I’ve still got a lot of kinks to figure out but I’m gonna give this a shot for awhile.
So I’m thinking about trying to get back into dolling. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time now and just haven’t had the time. But summer is here with a lighter course load and I think I might have a little more free time so I’m going to give dolling another try.
I’ve spent a little time over the past week browsing through all the dolling links I had saved in my favorites and have been saddened to discover that the majority of them no longer exist. Now someone please tell me what what has happened to everyone, specifically EE. I’m not as suprised to find many dollers missing as I am to find whole communities. Anyways, due to recent event and much observation and pondering over the past few years. I am now proclaiming that the golden age of dolling is officially dead.

Alright so aside from that one major down note… I do have a few new goodies to share.

Firstly, I made a new av base to celebrate my return to the dolling world and as a bit of practice. It’s just a head shot for now but I think it turned out cute. I even made myself an AV with it for a new dolling forum I joined. I also made a cute little girl named Summer on a base by Silindor just to sort of play around. In the past I have always used PSP to make my dolls but I am now trying to figure out how to used photoshop. Someone please tell me if theres an easy way to apply transparency in it.
